Mythbuster: He looks okay, so he must be okay.
Sobriety is much more than not drinking or using drugs. It involves complete mental, physical, and spiritual health, and is better viewed as living life successfully while being sober, rather than successfully saying “no” to drugs and alcohol. People who have truly achieved sobriety will have renewed stability and purpose in their life, but unfortunately, not everyone who manages to remain abstinent will have found sobriety.
If you or a loved one has found the courage to remain abstinent, but are still struggling with sobriety, please contact the caring staff at Privy Oasis, LLC today. This month we are offering free screenings, so don’t let anymore time slip by—the sooner you reach out for an evaluation, the sooner your recovery can begin.
